Ingredients

  • 75 grams of wholemeal flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 75 grams of porridge oats
  • 50 grams of caster sugar
  • 75 grams of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of golden syrup
  • 2 tablespoons of milk

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4, and line a baking tray with baking parchment.
  • In a bowl, sift the flour and add the baking powder, porridge oats, and sugar. Mix well.
  • Melt the butter, syrup, and milk in a small saucepan or microwave-safe dish. Stir the mixture until well combined.
  • Pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until the oat mixture is completely coated and well combined.
  • Use a spoon to scoop the mixture onto the prepared baking tray, shaping them into rounds and leaving space between each biscuit as they will spread while cooking.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Let the biscuits cool on the tray for 5 minutes before removing them.
